After a long break, it is now again possible to book a charter directly from Skellefteå Airport to Thailand with the travel company. Since the announcement that Thailand now welcomes Swedish tourists without a requirement for quarantine, the number of travel bookings at TUI has increased significantly and from Skellefteå, the booking situation is well above the Swedish average. The first flight departs in February.
Thailand is a big favorite among Swedes and from Skellefteå, the latest flight went directly to Thailand with TUI in the winter of 2019. After this, due to the pandemic, there has been a long pause. But now at the end of October came the news that Thailand now welcomes Swedish tourists
from 1 November without quarantine requirements.
Following the announcement, the number of travel bookings increased significantly.
And Skellefteå tops, where the booking situation is twice as high compared to the rest of Sweden in terms of the number of booked seats per flight.

Direct flights to Thailand from Skellefteå Airport went so well when this was offered for during the winter of 2019 that TUI now chooses to offer this again. The departures are to both Krabi Airport and Phuket Airport.
