Norwegian has operated the flight route between Skellefte\u00e5 and Stockholm-Arlanda since October 2024. The establishment was long-awaited by both the region's business community and private individuals. As interest in the route has strengthened, Norwegian is extending the flight program to Skellefte\u00e5.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Norwegian has operated the route between Stockholm Arlanda and Skellefte\u00e5 twice a week and has now chosen to extend the route until spring 2027.
\nIf demand continues to be strong, expanded capacity is planned from the summer season in 2027.<\/p>\n

For Skellefte\u00e5, the announcement of an extension is welcome.<\/p>\n

\u2013 In Skellefte\u00e5, we will see a new growth phase in the coming years as Lyten, EdgeConneX and several other industrial establishments will be implemented.
\nFor Skellefte\u00e5, aviation is absolutely crucial as it gives our residents, businesses and the tourism sector the opportunity to reach the outside world in an efficient way and for the outside world's accessibility to Skellefte\u00e5. We are therefore very grateful that Norwegian continues to operate services to Skellefte\u00e5 and we naturally hope for increased traffic in the future in a growing Skellefte\u00e5, says Lorents Burman (S), Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board, Skellefte\u00e5 Municipality.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We believe in Skellefte\u00e5, and since several large industrial establishments are taking place in the region, the need for good accessibility to the outside world will increase.
\nIt is therefore pleasing that we can announce today that we will continue to fly between Stockholm and Skellefte\u00e5 throughout the winter season 2026\/2027 and if passenger volumes continue to increase, we believe in an expansion in 2027, says Charlotte Holmbergh, Country Director Corporate Affairs at Norwegian.<\/p>\n
