TUI today announces that it is continuing its focus on direct flights from Skellefte\u00e5 Airport and establishing intercontinental charter services to Thailand. There will be two departures in 2019, on January 7 to Phuket and on January 22 to Krabi. Both flights will be operated with TUI Airways' new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which can accommodate up to 300 passengers. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 It is very exciting to be able to offer travelers from Skellefte\u00e5 Airport the opportunity to fly directly to Thailand in our new Dreamliner. Thailand, together with the Canary Islands, continues to top the list of Swedes' favorite travel destinations. Skellefte\u00e5 Airport has been one of Europe's fastest growing airports in 2017, and the number of departures, airlines and destinations has multiplied in recent years. With today's establishment, Skellefte\u00e5 Airport has traffic to eleven destinations and for the first time, intercontinental charter traffic will be offered directly from Skellefte\u00e5 Airport.<\/p>\n

Skellefte\u00e5 Airport has a good location and catchment area, travelers from several cities in Northern Sweden can reach Skellefte\u00e5 Airport in 90 minutes. Thailand, with its white beaches and exceptional climate, is the second most visited winter destination among Swedes. TUI has over 30 years of experience in charter flights to the country and is currently the only company with non-stop charter flights to Krabi.<\/p>\n
