During the first quarter of 2018, Skellefte\u00e5 Airport had 96,858 passengers, which is approximately 26,000 more than during the same period in 2017, giving an increase so far this year of 37 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Skellefte\u00e5 Airport became Sweden&#039;s largest regional airport and had the third-best growth rate in Europe in some months last year. At the end of 2017, Skellefte\u00e5 Airport reported an incredible increase of 141,000 passengers compared to 2016, a growth of more than 50 percent.
