At Skellefteå Airport's short-term parking there are now four special parking spaces for electric cars equipped with charging stations that provide 22kW per outlet. The charging stations are part of Skellefteå Kraft's Charge & Drive concept where their customers always charge their electric car with 100 percent renewable electricity.
Skellefteå Airport is dedicated to developing a safe, efficient and modern airport in harmony with the environment. The airport aims to minimize environmental impact and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions to achieve the goal of zero fossil carbon dioxide emissions.
-We want to promote environmentally friendly transport alternatives to and from the airport and it should be obvious for our passengers to be able to drive their electric car to and from Skellefteå Airport. By installing charging stations at the airport, our passengers who drive electric cars can feel secure that they can quickly and easily refuel their car with green electricity, says Malin Burlin Lundmark, commercial manager at Skellefteå Airport.
