On June 10, Skellefteå Droneport will be inaugurated – a new testing environment for drones located two kilometers from Skellefteå city center and is one of Europe's largest urban drones.flnew places.
Here, companies, researchers and societal actors have the opportunity to develop and test drone technology in a real environment, which is controlled, accessible and strategically placed, in order to contribute to future solutions for, among other things, transport, surveillance, emergency services, logistics and infrastructure.
At the opening, you will get an insight into a unique regional initiative at the forefront of technology, meet the actors behind the project and see the drone solutions of the future.
The program during the inauguration;
● Official opening and ribbon cutting
● Presentation of the test environment and what it enables
● Skellefteå's road to a drone port
● Demonstration of drone solutions
● Panel discussion about the future drone society
● Possibility of individual interviews with representatives from the project
Participating actors include: Skellefteå Airport, Skellefteå Municipality, Skellefteå Kraft, Skellefteå Science City, Arctic Aviation Hub, Skanska and partners in business, innovation and the public sector.
