About the role
Skellefteå Airport is facing an exciting phase with increased activity, new investments and a strengthened position as a regional hub. There is ongoing long-term work to modernize both technology and structure, in which you will play a central role.
As Technical Manager at Skellefteå Airport, you will have overall responsibility for the airport's technical operations and infrastructure from electricity supply, vehicles, runway and properties to IT and operational systems and other safety-critical functions.
The role of Technical Manager (maintenance manager) at Skellefteå Airport includes responsibility and authority to maintain, develop and manage the airport's technical maintenance in accordance with Regulation (EU) 139/2014 and the airport's operations manual.
You lead a small team of competent employees and together you work systematically and structured to maintain important functions at the airport.
You will establish and work according to operational and maintenance plans in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and ensure good collaboration with our regulatory authority, the Swedish Transport Agency. You are responsible for ensuring that the operation complies with current laws and regulations and the role combines operational elements with strategic development.
You are part of the airport's management team and report directly to the CEO.
The service is classified and subject to security clearance according to Regulation (EU) 2015/1998.
About you
You have a technical education, preferably in electricity, operations or property technology and several years of experience in similar roles in technical management, operations or maintenance. You are used to managing staff and work in a structured way with the ability to make decisions in a regulated environment where systematics, follow-up and documentation are central parts of the work. You feel confident in contact with contractors and suppliers and have experience in technical procurements. In addition, you have a B driving license and communicate freely in both Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have experience from airport operations, work according to EASA regulations or in technical management. Experience from similar industries, such as energy, industry, logistics or social infrastructure, is also seen as a positive.
