Apollo is now releasing the summer program from Skellefteå Airport 2019 and thereby presents two new features – direct flights to Split in Croatia and Easter and autumn holiday trips to Crete.
Ahead of summer 2019, Apollo is opening four flight routes between Skellefteå and Split. From Split airport, you can reach several of Apollo's most popular destinations, such as the city of Split and its surroundings, the Makarska Riviera and Croatia's third largest island, Brac - all destinations with their own genuine character.
– In recent years, Croatia has become a popular destination among Apollo's guests and we are seeing increased demand. It is very enjoyable to contribute to even more travelers from Northern Sweden having the opportunity to discover Croatia. There are lots of picturesque towns, crystal clear water, interesting sights, beautiful nature and good food. The Makarska Riviera, surrounded by lots of beautiful islands and villages, is a real draw, says Erika Butterworth, Sweden Manager at Apollo.
As in previous years, Apollo flies to Crete during the summer season, but in 2019 it will expand with departures during the Easter and autumn holidays.
– Crete's location, far south in the Mediterranean Sea, means a summer season that lasts from April to November. There are really good family hotels here, perfect for an Easter or autumn trip, continues Butterworth.

Last year's new and successful destination, Zakynthos, is still on the program for next year. The Greek island has several resorts suitable for couples (Argassi), families with children (Tslivi), and young people (Laganas) – all with short and convenient transfer times.
