After the corona pandemic, the number of passengers from Skellefteå Airport has increased dramatically. The growth of the region, an optimal geographical location and the possibility of free parking are some of the reasons for the strong expansion.
The tour operator Apollo is now presenting four new destinations directly from Skellefteå.
On 8 May 2023, the first flight of sun-seeking northerners will take off for Preveza airport, reaching Parga, Sivota and Lefkas. The possibility to easily reach Apollo’s success for an active holiday; Sivota Retreat, powered by Playitas is now also available with direct flights from Skellefteå. After the high summer, flights to Heraklion on the popular island of Crete start on 18 August.
– It feels great to be able to offer more news with direct flights from Skellefteå. Parga, Sivota, Lefkas and Crete are some of our most popular Greek destinations. The fact that it will also be easier to reach our popular Sivota Retreat, powered by Playitas, from the northern part of Sweden is also particularly pleasing as an active holiday is incredibly popular, says Sandra Miller Kinge, Communications Manager at Apollo.
– We are delighted with this establishment. The range of charter flights from Skellefteå Airport is constantly increasing and being able to offer these popular destinations with Apollo is great fun. Since we also offer free parking, we hope that the trips will be booked quickly, says Skellefteå Airport’s CEO Robert Lindberg.
