As a result of the current strike within SAS, replacement flights were introduced last week to operate the Skellefteå-Stockholm route, on which SAS is currently the only one flying regularly. As the strike continues, Direktflyg has today decided that they will continue to operate the route during the period 1-3 May.
– Domestic flights are extremely important for a region like Skellefteå, which without accessibility becomes isolated from the outside world. Therefore, we are doing our utmost to ensure that the region's businesses and private individuals can continue to conduct their operations, says Robert Lindberg, CEO, Skellefteå Airport.
