In April, Ryanair will start a flight between Skellefteå and Gdansk

Ryanair has now decided to open the long-awaited direct route between Skellefteå and the Polish city of Gdansk. The route will start on April 2, 2024 and will operate twice a week all year round. The route will be an important transport link for a growing Skellefteå

The establishment in Skellefteå is Ryanair's only direct international route in northern Sweden and involves two departures per week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, to and from the Polish city.

– This is further proof of the attractiveness of Skellefteå. In addition to new opportunities for tourist and business travel for our region, the establishment means that Polish private individuals and companies can easily get to Skellefteå, which is positive, continues Robert Lindberg.

Gdansk is one of Poland's largest and oldest cities and a popular tourist destination with its rich history and beautiful architecture. It offers a wide cultural life, an impressive selection of restaurants, various shopping centers and several nice beaches thanks to its proximity to the Baltic Sea.

– There is something for everyone in Gdansk. And thanks to the frequent traffic to and from Skellefteå and the fact that Lech Walesa is an international airport, there are also opportunities to easily travel on to other destinations, says Robert Lindberg.

Traffic starts on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The flight operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays year-round.
