TUI today announces that it is continuing its focus on direct flights from Skellefteå Airport and establishing intercontinental charter services to Thailand. There will be two departures in 2019, on January 7 to Phuket and on January 22 to Krabi. Both flights will be operated with TUI Airways' new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which can accommodate up to 300 passengers.

Skellefteå Airport has been one of Europe's fastest growing airports in 2017, and the number of departures, airlines and destinations has multiplied in recent years. With today's establishment, Skellefteå Airport has traffic to eleven destinations and for the first time, intercontinental charter traffic will be offered directly from Skellefteå Airport.

Thailand, with its white beaches and exceptional climate, is the second most visited winter destination among Swedes. TUI has over 30 years of experience in charter flights to the country and is currently the only company with non-stop charter flights to Krabi.
