Thailand directly from Skellefteå

Skellefteå Airport and TUI are bringing you the warmest Christmas present of the year – direct flights to Thailand in 2020. In the middle of the high season in Thailand, TUI will offer four departures with comfortable non-stop flights to Phuket and Krabi.

-It is with great pleasure that we once again have the honor of presenting Thailand as a destination from Skellefteå Airport. TUI's product to Thailand has been long-awaited and now with the environmental verdict in place and the project for the extension of the runway in full swing, there is every opportunity to expand the range of intercontinental charter traffic from Skellefteå Airport, says Robert Lindberg, CEO, Skellefteå Airport. The departures to Krabi are planned for January 17 and February 21, while the departures to Phuket are planned for February 2 and March 8. All flights will be operated with TUI Airways' new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which can carry up to 300 passengers. The trips span two weeks, but as always, passengers who choose to travel from Skellefteå Airport can spend their parking money on something more fun as there is the option to park in the airport's free parking. -We think it is fun to be able to offer travelers from Skellefteå Airport the opportunity to fly directly to one of our absolute most popular destinations, Thailand. We see great interest in trips there, a destination that has something for everyone. We hope that the people of Skellefteå appreciate our new venture, says Patrick Törn, Sales Manager at TUI Sweden. Thailand with its white beaches and outstanding climate is in the top ten of the most visited travel destinations among Swedes. TUI has over 30 years of experience in charter trips to Thailand and with its wide range of concept hotels, TUI gives its travelers every opportunity to completely design the trip to suit their own wishes, with everything from family hotels to a bungalow for two on the beach. Modern flights with less negative impact TUI Airways' Boeing 787 Dreamliner will operate the Skellefteå-Thailand route. These aircraft emit approximately 20 percent less carbon dioxide per passenger kilometer than comparable aircraft. The airline once again topped the list of the world's most carbon-efficient airlines in the atmosfair Airline Index.*
